I got so tired of low voltage lights and transformers I decided to do something about it. And those worthless solar lights are out of the question. For me the solution was 120 volt landscape lights. I went to my local Home Depot in Bridgeville Pennsylvania and with the expertise of the guys Don and Steve in the electrical department I was able to do this job myself. The cost was around $500.00 with me doing all the labor digging the trenches and making the connections. I always wanted 120 volt landscape lights. I wanted to make this video as a reference for how I wired it and to show the guys at Home Depot their advice was appreciated.

Composite Steps Completed How to build composite steps www.patioandhomeimprovementdesign.com We are in Broomfield Colorado finishing a landscaping project. In this video we walk you through the project with us. We started the project by removing one row of retaining wall block from the wall in order for us to get the proper height for our new composite steps. We added a turn to the retaining wall and extended it out to get the nice radius. We set caisons in sono tubes about 2-3ft. down for our steps foundation. Next we framed the steps in with pressure treated lumber made for ground contact. We drilled galvanized hardware into the concrete caissons to attach our steps. We finished the steps with a composite decking material for the treads and fascia. The landscaping included about 14 tons of granite boulders that we placed throughout the yard for decorative accents as well as for steps along the sides of the home that were previously steep and unmanageable. We planted close to 200 perennials and shrubs throughout the landscaping as well as several ornamental grasses and a large aspen clump. We installed about 120 square feet of stamped and colored concrete for a path from the front to the back yard. We finished the project by installing about 20 low voltage landscape lights throughout the new design.
